Fr. Dillon, the youngest of four children (3 boys and 1 girl). Grew up in West Hartford and attended public schools. While in high school he applied to St. Thomas Seminary in Bloomfield, although he was accepted, he declined to go; not being sure if it was the right time for him to study for the priesthood.
Fr. Dillon received an Associate's degree from Mitchell College in New London and a Bachelor's degree from The American University in Washington, D.C. He also completed the teaching certification program at C.C.S.U. for history and social studies. For the next six years Fr. Dillon worked for Cigna Corp., first in Farmington, then transferring to Philadelphia. While in Philadelphia, Fr. Dillon felt the call to pursue a vocation to the priesthood. Fr. Dillon began his theology studies at St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood Pennsylvania and later transferred to St. John’s Seminary in Brighton Massachusetts. After completing seminary Fr. Dillon served as a Transitional Deacon at St. Barnabas Parish in North Haven from June, 1999 until April 29, 2000 when he was ordained a priest.
Fr. Dillon's priesthood assignments have been: Our Lady of Fatima, Yalesville, St. Matthew, Forestville, St. Peter Claver, West Hartford, and for the last eleven years as Pastor of St. Aloysius, Plantsville. Fr. Dillon greatly looks forward to meeting and getting to know all of you and beginning this new chapter in his life, with you. "I pray that our time together will be one filled with great blessings from the Lord."
