Wellness Team

Members of the Parish Wellness Teams work in conjunction with the Hospital of St. Raphael Parish Nurse Program to provide healthcare screenings and education to parishioners. They ensure that both churches are prepared for medical emergencies by providing the appropriate equipment and training. They are available to parishioners to answer health questions and to provide referrals to the appropriate people or agencies.
Members of this ministry need to be certified/licensed nurses or health care workers in order to perform screenings. Clerical personnel can assist with filing and record keeping. Important qualities of those involved in this ministry are caring and being a team player.

Time Commitment: One hour per month after Mass to take blood pressures. The committee meets monthly for approximately 1 1/2 hours from Sept. through June.
