This group reaches out to those who have lost a loved one through death. They help families through the process of planning the Funeral Mass and serve as greeters and representatives of the
parish community at the Funeral Mass. It is often rewarding to the interviewer to help the families who have lost someone. The Lazarus Committee members can reflect Christian hope to the grieving family as they help
select the appropriate readings and music. Members should possess an understanding of the Rite of Christian Funerals, be compassionate and caring and perform as the representative of the church.
Time Commitment: Members meet once a year for Masses attend about one Funeral Mass a month.
